EMIS Web appointment book arrivals, departures and DNAs

Using EMIS Web's appointment book, you have access to a general practice appointment book that is packed with functionality. One aspect of this is the appointment book reporting, and the audit functionality associated with each appointment.

Every aspect of an appointment is captured in the appointment's history trail. This includes capturing:

• When the appointment was booked, and by whom
• When the patient was marked as arrived at the practice
• When the patient entered the consultation
• When the patient left the consultation

Each audit line is recorded alongside the user responsible for the action. You can quick assess the duration of an individual appointment, or you can use the appointment book reporting to report a global level.

You can use EMIS' "hotkeys" or shortcuts to mark patients having Arrived (A), being Sent (S) in to the consultation, and Leaving (L). Patients who DNA can be recorded as such with a 'D' keystroke.
