Integrated into EMIS is a catalogue of consultation templates.
Templates are configured sets of questions and examinations to run through with a patient. They are launched contextually, based on the information entered by a clinician into the consultation.
For example, here is a diabetic review template, launched upon a new T1 diabetes diagnosis:
The information gathered within templates is automatically SNOMED coded, and therefore is subsequently retrievable through EMIS' reporting and populates the patient's medical summary.
To enrich templating, you can use Ardens (an EMIS partner product), which provides another library of templates. For example, here is a smoking cessation template:
