As part of its consulting module, EMIS provides integrated prescribing alerts to prompt clinicians when they may be attempting to prescribe inappropriate medication.
For example, once a patient is recorded as allergic to penicillin, should a clinician attempt to prescribe Amoxicillin, to proceed they'd need to override the prescribing alert:
