Highly configurable appointment book

Core to the appointment book is the ability to seamlessly book an appointment and capture relevant information such as a reason for appointment. Similarly, EMIS has robust functionality for managing your practice's clinical schedule, including building pre-defined weekly templates that allow you to quickly set your clinicians' appointments into the future.

The appointment book itself is highly customisable. Amongst many settings, practice can configure:

• The visible clinicians and locations
• The clinician sessions available to be booked into
• The slot types that are available within each session
• The colour of the slot type, as displayed in the diary
• The behaviour when a new a patient is called into an appointment

For advanced users, through the EMIS appointment book you can configure functionality such as:

• Embargoed slots - Where slots are held to only become available to patients and administrators 'on the day' or a certain time in advance
• Untimed slots - Where appointments are booked into a session but not given a specific appointment time. This works well for telephone call-back lists, where you want to document the list of patients requiring a call-back, but it isn't clear that each call will have a set duration
