Every patient record within EMIS is automatically populated based on the coding contained within the medical record.
When you consult with a patient, EMIS drives you to record problems and categorise these based on:
- Whether the problem is an existing problem for the patient or new
- Whether it is an active problem or past problem - active problems are visible on the patient record
- Whether it is minor or major (EMIS will automatically recommend this, based on the problem)
- Whether it is a first or repeat episode
- How long the problem should remain active (EMIS will automatically recommend this, based on the problem)
The data entered as part of a consultation then populates the summary record, where you can view:
- Active problems and Significant past problems
- Medications - split by Acute or Repeat
- Allergies
- Health statuses - such as Height, BMI or Weight over time
- Open tasks
- Recent activity
This means that at a glance, as a clinician you can identify the key information for any patient:
