50 Reasons Private GPs Use EMIS Web

EMIS auto-populates a medical summary for every patient

Patient record

Every patient record within EMIS is automatically populated based on the coding contained within the medical record.

When you consult with a patient, EMIS drives you to record problems and categorise these based on:

  • Whether the problem is an existing problem for the patient or new
  • Whether it is an active problem or past problem - active problems are visible on the patient record
  • Whether it is minor or major (EMIS will automatically recommend this, based on the problem)
  • Whether it is a first or repeat episode
  • How long the problem should remain active (EMIS will automatically recommend this, based on the problem)

The data entered as part of a consultation then populates the summary record, where you can view:

  • Active problems and Significant past problems
  • Medications - split by Acute or Repeat
  • Allergies
  • Health statuses - such as Height, BMI or Weight over time
  • Open tasks
  • Recent activity

This means that at a glance, as a clinician you can identify the key information for any patient:
