EMIS Web is designed to cater to different areas of healthcare by offering specialised versions of its software: GP, Clinical Services, and CCMH. Although all versions are built upon the core EMIS Web system, each one is tailored to meet the specific needs of its targeted user base.
GP (Primary Care)
The GP version is intended for standard GP practices and includes essential features such as GP links, electronic prescription services (EPS), and regular patient management capabilities. It operates under the GP IT Futures contract, limiting its use to GP practices to ensure the system’s functionalities align with regulatory and payment structures exclusive to primary care.
Clinical Services
This version supports GP Federations and Primary Care Networks (PCNs), enabling services that may occur within or outside traditional GP settings. It facilitates seamless integration through access to the Spine, allowing for services like Personal Demographics Service (PDS) and GP Connect, making it more adaptable for data sharing and non-traditional care settings.
CCMH (Community, Child and Mental Health)
CCMH is an expanded variant geared towards large community teams, delivering a multitude of services that include adult and children’s health, school health, and mental health services. It supports a vast user base across multiple teams and locations, affirming its robustness in handling diverse and extensive healthcare needs.
"The distinct configurations of EMIS Web ensure each healthcare model receives the optimal suite of functionalities, improving efficiency, supporting data sharing, and ultimately enhancing patient care delivery."
