How it Works
An embargoed slot in the EMIS Web Appointment Book is a protected timeslot that cannot be booked until a specified lead time. For example, you can configure a slot so it only becomes available an hour before it starts. This is especially useful for reserving urgent appointments or ensuring appointments remain free until just before they’re needed.
Configuring an Embargo Type
- Go to your Appointment Configuration settings and select Embargo Types.
- Set how many days, hours or minutes in advance the slot should be embargoed.
- Optionally assign a visual colour to distinguish your embargoed slots clearly.
- Save the settings to apply your embargo rules to relevant slot types.
