What is a list session?

Appointments

A list session is an untimed appointment session that isn’t assigned to a specific clinician. It’s often used for scenarios like home visits, walk-in clinics, or telephone triage, where strict appointment times aren’t needed. When configuring a list session, you specify the session category as “List,” add the desired quantity of slots, and optionally display slot numbers in the Appointment Book.

Key points:

  • Slots are not tied to a single user or strict timings
  • Useful for group tasks or sessions where multiple clinicians may pick up the same list
  • Can improve flexibility and efficiency by letting staff add or manage patients in a shared list view
Setting up a single home visit list can save you time by bringing all visits into one easily updated session.
