To set up user access for EMIS Mobile, begin by ensuring that your EMIS Web organisation is configured to allow mobile access. First, confirm that the Mobile option has been ordered and the functionality enabled. Navigate to Configuration > Organisation Configuration. Select your organisation, click Edit, and scroll to Allow Mobile access? Set this option to Yes.
Enabling Users for EMIS Mobile
For each user who requires access to EMIS Mobile, go to Users, select the user, and press Edit. Under Mobile Details, toggle Allow Mobile Access to Yes. This enables the user to download and use the EMIS Mobile App.
Downloading and Authenticating EMIS Mobile App
Instruct users to download the EMIS Mobile App from the App Store for iOS or Google Play Store for Android devices. Upon first opening the app, users must authenticate their device by entering the login credentials used for EMIS Web. Users will then receive an email verification, and after entering the verification code, access will be granted.
Configuring Appointments for Mobile Access
To enable appointment sessions for EMIS Mobile, navigate to the Appointment Book and access Appts Config. Go to Organisation Options > Session Categories > Add and create a new session with Non-list session types ensuring you tick Available for mobile. Alternatively, edit an existing session category, selecting the Mobile option to mobile-enable appointments.
