Access the Cerner Millennium Portal from EMIS Web
To access the Cerner Millennium Portal through EMIS Web, you must first ensure your organisation has activated the Cerner Millennium HIE portal viewing feature. This requires an RBAC local system administrator to complete the activation process.Enable Portal Viewing
- Contact your ICB's HIE manager for activation and obtain necessary credentials, including the Portal Base URL, Secret Key, and Initialisation Vector.
- Navigate to the Organisation Configuration section in EMIS Web by clicking on Configuration and selecting Organisation Configuration, then the Organisation tab.
- Select your organisation in the navigation pane and click Edit on the ribbon.
- Under the Cerner Portal section, set the Allow Portal Access field to Yes.
- Input the details provided by your HIE manager, then click OK to save.
- From the Care Record module, select the patient or be prompted to choose one if not already selected.
- In the External Views section, click Cerner Portal.
- On the Data Sharing screen, select a Consent Reason for viewing the patient's data.
- Click OK to launch the Cerner Millennium HIE portal, which will display the uploaded information about the selected patient.
- Close the portal by clicking Close on the ribbon when finished.
