EMIS Web utilises two primary datacentres for N3 facing services:
- EMIS Backup Datacentre: 10.207.112.0/22
- EMIS Primary Datacentre: 10.207.116.0/22
These IP allocations ensure secure communication within the NHS private network.
Internet Facing IP Allocations
For internet-facing services, EMIS utilises the following IP allocations:
- RIPE Local Internet Registry Allocation - 185.13.72.0/22
- EMIS Cogent Allocation - 149.11.42.48/29
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Allocations
Many EMIS Web services, such as document uploads and appointment refresh, utilise AWS. These services generally use TCP port 443 with AWS domains like:
- *.iot.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com
- https://d1c7heevvbqh.cloudfront.net
Configuring firewalls to allow outbound traffic on port 443 for these AWS domains is crucial for seamless document management and appointment updates.
