Enabling an automatic consultation when sending for a patient can help save time and ensure you capture notes promptly. Follow these steps:
Open the Appointments Configuration screen
• Select Appointment Book from the EMIS Web menu
• On the ribbon, choose Appts Config
Specify your user options
• In the left-hand pane, choose General under User Options
• In the New Consultation section, select Start new Consultation next to On a registered patient send in
"We find this setting cuts down on unnecessary clicks, helping clinicians focus on the patient by automatically opening the consultation."
Once this option is set, each time you click Send In for a registered patient, a consultation window will launch immediately, allowing you to document care without any extra steps.
