Configuring EMIS Web for mobile access can enhance your practice’s efficiency by allowing clinicians to manage patient information and appointments seamlessly from mobile devices. Follow these steps to set up EMIS Web for mobile use:
Enable Mobile Access for Your Organisation
Navigate to Configuration > Organisation Configuration in EMIS Web. Select your organisation and click on Edit. In the Organisation Details section, set Allow Mobile Access to Yes.
Enable Mobile Access for Users
For each user needing mobile access, navigate to the Users section, select the user, and click on Edit. In the Mobile Details section, set Allow Mobile Access to Yes.
Install the EMIS Mobile App
Instruct users to download the EMIS Mobile App from their respective app stores (App Store for iOS or Google Play for Android). Once installed, they should open the app and follow the prompts to authenticate their devices using their EMIS login credentials.
Verify User Email and Device
The app will guide users to verify their email addresses as part of the setup process. Make sure the email is the same as that in their EMIS Web profile. Users will receive a verification code via email, which they need to input into the app to complete the process.
Mobile access to EMIS Web allows clinicians to provide more flexible, responsive care by accessing patient details and managing appointments while on the go.
Configuring Appointments for Mobile Access
To ensure appointment sessions are available via mobile, you may need to update how they are configured in EMIS Web.
- Add a New Session Category: Go to Appts Config > Organisation Options > Session Categories and select Add. Set Session Type as Non-list and tick Available for mobile.
- Edit Existing Sessions: Modify current session categories to mark them as Available for mobile to ensure seamless integration with the mobile app.
By configuring EMIS Web for mobile access, clinicians can efficiently manage their workload, even outside the confines of a traditional office, while maintaining secure patient data integrity.
