To activate the Cerner Millennium HIE portal viewing for your organisation in EMIS Web, follow these steps:
Activating Cerner Millennium HIE Portal
- Contact your ICS's HIE manager to request activation of the portal. You will need the Portal Base URL, Secret Key, and Initialisation Vector, which the HIE manager will provide.
- Log into EMIS Web and navigate to Configuration > Organisation Configuration.
- In the navigation pane, select your organisation and click Edit on the ribbon.
- Go to the Cerner Portal section and in the right-hand pane, set Allow (trust name) Portal Access to Yes.
- Enter the Portal Base URL, Secret Key, and Initialisation Vector provided by your HIE manager in the respective fields.
- Click OK to save your changes.
Accessing Cerner Millennium Portal in Care Record
- Access the Care Record module in EMIS Web.
- If a patient is not selected, you will be prompted to choose one.
- In the External Views section, click Cerner Portal.
- In the Data Sharing - Permissions to view screen, select the appropriate consent reason from the Consent Reason field.
- Click OK to launch the Cerner Millennium HIE portal.
