Splitting appointment slots in EMIS Web allows you to create shorter appointments within a time already set aside. This can be especially handy if a patient only needs a quick check, rather than your standard slot length.
How to split a slot
Note: the slot you want to split must not be booked.
- Open the Appointment Book and find the session with the slot you want to split.
- Right-click the slot, hover over Slot Actions, and select Split this Slot.
- The slot is automatically divided into two equal periods.
Splitting a slot can free up part of your schedule for an additional quick consultation, helping you accommodate more patients efficiently.
