Hero Health - EMIS Web Support Guide

How do I customize the Quick Access Toolbar in EMIS Web?

Using EMIS
Beginner

You can add your most-used EMIS Web modules or functions to the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT), which appears along the top of the screen. This helps you switch quickly between areas like the Care Record or Workflow Manager with fewer clicks.

How to customise the Quick Access Toolbar

  • At the top of EMIS Web, locate the QAT near the EMIS button.
  • Click the dropdown arrow beside the toolbar and select Customise Quick Access Toolbar.
  • In the left-hand pane, highlight the modules you want to add. You can hold CTRL to select multiple non-consecutive items or SHIFT to select consecutive items.
  • Click Add. The modules appear on the right-hand side, which represents your QAT.
  • Select OK to confirm. The newly added shortcuts appear on your QAT.

Tip: You cannot remove the default QAT icons like Home or Patient Find, but you can add as many new shortcuts as you wish.

This can be particularly beneficial for busy practice administrators, letting them access common modules in seconds rather than navigating multiple menus.
