Cancel an existing appointment slot
Open the Appointment Book and locate the patient’s booking. Select the appropriate slot, then click Cancel Appt on the ribbon. If you’ve already assigned a status to the slot, you may need to remove it before proceeding. You’ll be prompted to choose a cancellation reason and, if required, to print a cancellation letter. Confirm your selections, and the slot is released for re-booking.
Freeing up slots quickly helps practices keep their schedule dynamic, reduce no-shows and stay organised.
If you need to cancel a session containing multiple appointments, right-click the session header and select Cancel/Reassign Session to handle cancellations in bulk. You can choose to move patients to the reallocation list, assign another session holder, or lose the booked appointments entirely.
Check slot history
Right-click the appointment slot and choose Slot History to review who booked or cancelled an appointment, along with the time and any notes. This audit trail can be useful for tracking user actions.
