To view which organisation added data to a patient's Care Record in EMIS Web, follow these steps:
Accessing the Care Record Summary
Begin by accessing the Care Record Summary screen. If you haven't already selected a patient, you will be prompted to do so.
Viewing Shared Data
To view shared data, it's essential to expand the shared records pane:
- Locate the chevron on the left-hand side of your screen within the Care Record module.
- Click to expand the shared records pane.
Identifying Data Contributors
Within the shared records pane, data entries added by other organisations are marked by a specific icon. Hover your cursor over the icon to reveal which organisation contributed that data entry.
"This feature saves time and enhances communication between healthcare providers, ensuring that patient data is both accurate and comprehensive."
Consent and Data Sharing
Ensure that the patient's consent preferences for data sharing are appropriately managed. Without this, access to shared records may be restricted.
Tip: If permitted by the sharing agreement, shared data can be copied to your local records. This feature is available in the Care Record Summary and can be actioned by right-clicking the required item and selecting "Copy To Local Record".
