Steps to Customise Test Requests
To customise a test request:
- Access the Care Record from the EMIS Web menu and select Summary. If no patient is selected, you will be prompted to choose one using Patient Find.
- Click Add, point to Test Request, and select Offline Test Request. This can be done from any Care Record screen.
- In the Template Runner screen, choose a test category such as Haematology or Biochemistry.
- If Other Test Requests is enabled, select the box in this section and enter a title for your custom test request in the Text field.
- Select the test(s) you need and click OK. The Test Requests Details screen will display your selections.
- Here, you can manage options such as urgency, fasting requirements, or inoculation risks, enter any clinical details, assign the test request to another clinician, and specify sample logistics.
By using the Other Test Requests option, you can tailor your requests to the unique needs of your practice, saving time and streamlining record-keeping processes.
