Using the Investigations Screen
The Investigations screen within EMIS Web provides essential tools for managing patient data. It offers two primary views:- Values View: Displays the latest values recorded in a patient's care record.
- View Reports: Shows a comprehensive list of all lab results.
Accessing the Investigations Screen
Navigate to the Care Record and select 'Investigations' from the EMIS Web menu. Choose a patient if one is not already selected.Ribbon Options
The ribbon at the top of the Investigations screen offers various functionalities:- Add/Edit: Insert or modify entries such as allergies, consultations, or test requests.
- Trend: Use to identify patterns in patient's data via tabular or graphical representations.
- Filter: Display only selected results, such as the latest or solely abnormal values.
- Print: Output patient data in a summarised or comprehensive format as needed.
- Search: Locate specific text or codes within investigations quickly.
Using the Trend functionality, clinicians can visualise the progression of a patient’s condition, aiding in timely interventions and enhanced patient care.
Visualizing Data
Select the required values and click Trend in the ribbon. Choose either Tabular or Graphical to display data accordingly.
