In EMIS Web, you can quickly change a diary entry date by following a simple method. Once you have accessed the patient's diary entry, locate the date field. Here, you have the flexibility to directly type a new date or use shorthand codes to adjust the schedule rapidly.

When you're adding or editing a diary entry, click on the date field and you can type specific commands to automatically adjust the date. For example:

  • 3m – Changes the date to three months from the current date.
  • 1y – Sets the date to one year from now.

If the exact date is unknown, you can simply type 'NK' (Not Known) to save the entry without specifying a precise date, ensuring important tasks remain visible.

By using shorthand codes, you can efficiently manage your schedule, ensuring appointments and reviews are timely and reducing manual input for date changes.

To find the diary entry, navigate to Care Record > Diary. This functionality allows for swift rescheduling and updating, especially useful for clinicians needing to adjust follow-ups or review dates swiftly.
