Associating each diary entry with a relevant clinical term in EMIS Web is a streamlined approach for healthcare professionals to manage patient care efficiently. By linking diary entries to specific clinical terms, such as 'Asthma Review', the system ensures no duplication occurs as each term can only accommodate one diary entry within the patient’s record.
This practice is not only instrumental in maintaining clarity in patient records but also aids in avoiding oversight of crucial follow-ups. With EMIS Web, when you create a diary entry connected to a clinical term, the system automatically tracks the entry, updating only the latest information, which eliminates outdated reminders and reduces administrative burden.
Using clinical terms for diary entries streamlines patient management tasks, reducing errors and saving time for healthcare providers.
Creating a Diary Entry
To add a diary entry, access the Diary through the Care Record in EMIS Web. After selecting a patient, click on 'Add' and choose 'Diary Entry'. In the search field, select the required clinical term and press ENTER. You can then input the date and any relevant notes. If necessary, specify the patient's age and assign a responsible clinician.
