Withdrawing a GP Summary from the Spine

To withdraw a GP summary from the Spine, follow these steps:
  • Access the SCR Viewer for the required patient in EMIS Web.
  • On the ribbon, click Withdraw from Spine.
  • A warning message will appear. Confirm the action by clicking Yes.
  • In the Withdrawal Reason field, use the drop-down icon to select the appropriate reason for withdrawal.
  • Optionally, enter any additional information in the Supplementary Information field if needed.
  • Click OK to complete the withdrawal process.
The GP summary is then effectively withdrawn from the Spine. If the patient does not have any other summaries, a reminder prompt will request you to send a new GP summary to the Spine.
Withdrawal should only occur in exceptional circumstances, particularly to correct clinical errors, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of patient records.
