Requesting an Instalment Prescription
To request an instalment prescription, follow these steps:
- Access the Medication Module from the EMIS Web menu by selecting Care Record and then Medication.
- Select Add Drug to begin prescribing a new medication. Enter the drug name and choose the correct item from the list.
- When entering prescription details, select an instalment option. Specify the dosage and quantity per instalment as required.
- Set the instalment frequency, detailing how often the drug should be dispensed (e.g., weekly).
- Once all details are entered, click Issue to process the prescription.
Managing Instalment Prescriptions
Once an instalment prescription is set up, you can navigate to the Current Medication screen to manage it:
- Use the Issue button to dispense the next instalment according to the schedule.
- If adjustments are needed, such as changes to the dosage or frequency, select Edit to amend the prescription details.
