In EMIS Web, referrals can be deleted under particular circumstances. It is essential to ensure that no actions have been performed on the referral prior to attempting to delete it. Actions could include the referral being accepted or placed on a waiting list. If any actions have been performed, a warning message will alert you, indicating that the referral cannot be deleted unless these actions are resolved.
To delete a referral:
- Navigate to the EMIS Web menu, hover over Care Record, and select Referrals.
- Locate and select the referral you wish to delete.
- On the ribbon, click Delete and confirm the deletion when prompted.
By allowing the deletion of unresolved referrals, EMIS Web helps maintain a clean and efficient care record, reducing unnecessary administrative burdens for clinical staff.
