To configure user-level consultation styles in EMIS Web, follow these steps to tailor the setup to your personal workflow, ensuring a streamlined and efficient consultation process.
Accessing the Consultation Styles
Begin by accessing the Consultations module:
- Navigate to the EMIS Web menu, point to Care Record, and select Consultations.
- If a patient is not selected, use the prompt to choose one.
Managing Style Settings
On the ribbon, select CR Config:
- In the User Options section, click Consultation Styles.
- To activate a style, choose from the Available Styles list and click the transfer button to move it to Active Styles.
- Use SHIFT to select contiguous styles or CTRL for non-contiguous styles.
This customisation allows clinicians to tailor their consultation settings without affecting the organisation-wide defaults, enhancing personal adaptability during patient interactions.
Advanced Configuration
Modify advanced style properties if needed:
- Add default travel and consultation durations.
- Select Show Extended Properties to access more options.
- Non-clinicians can set Quick Note as the default style to input free text annotations efficiently, which will not include coded information.
