To configure a patient's data sharing preferences in EMIS Web, follow these steps:
Access the Referrals Screen
Begin by accessing the Referrals screen within the Care Record.
- Click on the EMIS Web menu.
- Select Care Record, then click on Referrals.
If no patient is currently selected, you will be prompted to choose one from your records.
Configure Sharing Preferences
Once the Referrals screen is visible, follow these steps:
- On the ribbon, click Sharing.
- Select EMIS Sharing Consent. This will open the Patient Consent Preference screen.
Set the Patient's Consent
In the Patient Consent Preference screen, you will have two options:
- Patient consents to sharing the detailed record: This option allows the patient's care record to be shared with other organisations providing care.
- Patient does not wish to share the detailed record: This option prevents their care record from being shared.
After selecting the appropriate option, click OK to save these preferences.
Selecting the correct data sharing preferences can streamline communication between healthcare providers, ensuring seamless patient care while respecting privacy wishes.
