To add a referral service person in EMIS Web, navigate to the Services configuration section:
- Click the EMIS Web menu.
- Point to Configuration and select Organisation Configuration.
- In the navigation pane, click Services.
The Services screen will display. Next, follow these steps:
- Select the organisation or service you wish to add the service person to.
- On the ribbon, click Add and choose Add Service Person.
- Complete the mandatory fields (indicated with a *).
- Under the Service Person Details tab, select the Existing User by clicking the search icon and choosing the desired user.
- Fill in the Display Name and any necessary Information. Specify referral types using Make Referrals and Accept Referrals fields.
- Select any pertinent specialities and locations using the search icons.
- Configure available lists for the service person, if applicable, and click OK.
Tip: Adding a referral service person is essential for practices to ensure that referrals are directed to the correct individuals efficiently, thereby reducing wait times and improving patient care outcomes.
If users encounter issues where the service person is unavailable as a referral source or target, ensure that the newly added user logs onto a new EMIS Web session and verify that all settings for referral types are correctly configured.
