The SCR (Summary Care Record) Viewer ribbon in EMIS Web offers several essential options for viewing GP summaries. When accessing the SCR Viewer, ensure that you have navigated to Summary Care Record within the External Views section.
SCR Viewer Ribbon Options
- Close: Exits the SCR Viewer screen.
- Refresh: Updates the displayed information.
- Print: Allows you to print the current SCR.
- Print Preview: Offers a preview of the SCR before printing.
- Summary Care Record: Displays the current SCR(s) for the patient on the Spine. If multiple records exist, a Summary Navigator pane helps you navigate between them.
- Local Preview: Provides a view of how the patient's SCR would appear if uploaded, including medication, allergies, and additional information.
- Side by Side: Compares the local GP summary with the SCR on the Spine for accuracy and consistency.
- Send Summary to Spine: Sends an update of the GP summary to the Spine, requiring the B0380 RBAC activity.
- Withdraw from Spine: Allows summary withdrawal from the Spine, under special circumstances, also requiring B0380 RBAC.
- Consent: Manages patient consent preferences for viewing SCR, directing to the Consent Preference screen for adjustments.
- Upload History: Displays all summaries that have been uploaded, withdrawn, or replaced by your organisation.
Viewing and managing SCR information via the EMIS Web SCR Viewer not only ensures compliance with patient privacy standards but also enhances the accuracy and reliability of patient data management across care settings.
