Steps to Post-date a Prescription
- Access the Medication screen by selecting the patient record.
- Choose the medication you wish to issue and open the Issue screen.
- Select the Postdate option. A new screen will appear, allowing you to specify the post-dating period.
- Enter the desired future date or use abbreviations such as '+1w' to add one week to the current date.
By scheduling prescriptions to be fulfilled at a later date, practitioners can ensure continuity of care without daily oversight, allowing more time for patient-focused activities.
