To set up user-specific clinical views in EMIS Web, follow these steps to ensure your clinical environment is tailored to meet individual needs, optimising both efficiency and usability:
Configuring Clinical Views
Begin by accessing the Care Record area within EMIS Web. User-specific configurations allow practitioners to have a tailored view that includes the most relevant information for their specific role. This function is designed not just for aesthetics but to enhance the workflow and decision-making process by presenting pertinent details prominently.
Creating and Activating Clinical Views
- Navigate to Care Record and select Consultations.
- On the ribbon, click CR Config. Under User Options, you will see the option for Consultation Styles.
- Select your desired view configuration, such as Summary, Diabetic, or other available views.
- Use the Available Styles list to activate desired styles by moving them to the Active Styles list.
- Ensure the selected style provides all necessary information by reviewing the displayed data fields such as Alerts, Allergies, and Medication.
- If needed, expand the view’s properties to include additional codes, graphs, or data relevant to your clinical focus.
“Customising clinical views allows you to have quick access to frequent patient information, efficiently enhancing patient encounters and saving valuable time.”
Understanding User vs Organisation Settings
It's important to note that user-specific configurations affect only the individual profile, allowing for tailored clinical views without impacting broader organisational settings. This flexibility supports various roles within a practice, ensuring each user sees the most relevant data.
