To configure prescription printing options in EMIS Web, follow these steps to ensure that prescriptions are printed correctly according to practice needs:
Accessing the Printer Configuration
Begin by accessing the EMIS Web menu. Navigate through the following:
- Click on the EMIS Web menu.
- Point to Configuration, then click Organisation Configuration.
- Finally, at the bottom of the navigation pane, click on the Printer tab.
Configuring Printer Settings
Within the Printer tab, you can set different printing options:
- Select a Printer: Choose a printer from those available on your network. Ensure you select the correct device for printing prescriptions.
- Page Orientation: Determine the page orientation (portrait or landscape) although note that the actual printing landscape is dictated by your printer’s paper feed settings. Select Portrait for traditional printing.
- Offset and Alignment: Fine-tune alignment using the X and Y coordinates to ensure text and forms print correctly on the stationery.
- Test Printing: Use the Test Print feature to verify that the configurations align with expectations without wasting actual prescriptions.
Efficiently setting up your prescription printer helps save significant time during periods of high demand and ensures compliance with prescription handling standards.
