To effectively manage consultations within a patient's care record in EMIS Web, follow these key steps to view, edit, and delete consultations:
Viewing Consultations
To view consultations, access the Consultations screen within a patient’s care record. Use the Date Navigator to browse through consultations by date. You can apply filters to the Problems tab in the navigation pane to focus on specific issues recorded for the patient.
Editing Consultations
To edit a consultation, select the appropriate entry from the Consultations screen. Click on the Edit Consultation option in the ribbon. Make the required changes in the Consultation Edit screen and click Save to update the record. Tracking changes is facilitated by the Audit Trail Viewer, which provides details on who has altered the consultation and what changes were made.
Deleting Consultations
When necessary, delete a consultation by selecting it in the Consultations screen and clicking on the Delete Consultation button in the ribbon. When prompted, provide a reason for deletion or choose to leave it blank. It’s crucial to note that deleted consultations cannot be recovered directly and any relevant information must be re-entered as a new consultation if needed.
Did you know? Making sure your patient's consultations are current and accurate can save valuable time in the long run and provide comprehensive, up-to-date patient histories for clinicians.
Audit Trail Use
