To enable sending and receiving cross-organisation tasks in EMIS Web, specific data sharing agreements must be activated by both the originating organisation and the receiving organisation. These agreements are essential to facilitate the seamless exchange of task-related data across different healthcare entities, ensuring compliance with data-sharing regulations and standards.
Required Data Sharing Agreements
- CrossOrgTasks - Organisations allowing me to create tasks: This agreement must be activated on the PCN Hub to permit the creation of tasks directed towards GP practices.
- CrossOrgTasks - Organisations creating tasks for me: Activate this on GP Practices to receive tasks from the PCN Hub.
- Care Record - Viewing other organisation's care record: This agreement enables the hub to view associated care records, crucial for task accuracy and context.
To activate these agreements, navigate in EMIS Web to Configuration > Data Sharing Manager. Once the agreements are added and configured, log out and back in to ensure the changes are fully implemented.
Enabling cross-organisation tasks ensures that crucial patient-related tasks are efficiently shared and managed between GP Practices and the PCN Hub, improving operational workflow and patient care coordination.
Ensure your staff is equipped to handle tasks from other organisations by verifying their access permissions and roles are correctly configured in the system.
