It is essential to manage rejected patient registrations promptly to ensure the integrity of your organisation's patient records. Cancelling a rejected registration involves a few key steps and affects a patient's status, maintaining accurate records within EMIS Web.
When to Cancel a Rejected Registration
Cancel a rejected registration when you have determined that the patient cannot be registered at your organisation due to reasons such as residing outside the trading partner's area. This is often the result of selecting the incorrect trading partner during initial registration.
Steps to Cancel a Rejected Registration
To cancel a rejected registration:
- Access Registration Workflow by selecting the EMIS Web menu, pointing to Workflow, clicking Workflow Manager, and then selecting Registration.
- Within the GP Links - Inbox section, click Rejections.
- Select the required rejection from the right-hand pane. Details will be displayed in the Transaction Information pane.
- Click Cancel Registration on the Registration Workflow ribbon. This removes the corresponding registration transaction from the New Registrations section and updates the patient status to inactive.
Cancelling rejected registrations efficiently ensures that your patient records accurately reflect active enrolments, reducing confusion and enhancing data privacy.
