To efficiently send a document from the Documents section in the Care Record of EMIS Web, follow these steps:
Activate Document Sharing
Before you can send documents, ensure Document Sharing is activated in EMAS Manager:
- Access EMAS Manager via System Tools in the EMIS Web menu.
- In the navigation pane, select the EMIS tab and click on Document Sharing.
- If it's not active, click Activate Application. A green tick will confirm activation.
Sending a Document
- Navigate to Care Record in the EMIS Web menu and select Documents.
- If prompted, choose the relevant patient to access their Documents screen.
- Right-click on the document you wish to send.
- Select Send Document.
Choosing a Recipient
- You have the option to send to the patient’s Usual GP or select Other to specify a different service.
- Specify urgency if required and click Send.
This process saves valuable time by allowing practice administrators to quickly disseminate necessary documents, thereby enhancing communication and workflow efficiency within the practice.
