Configuring a dummy user for a pooled list in EMIS Web streamlines patient registration processes within NHS primary care sites. Follow these key steps to set it up:
Create a Dummy GP User
- Access Organisation Configuration by clicking the EMIS Web menu, selecting Configuration, and then Organisation Configuration.
- In the Organisation Configuration screen, click on the Users tab at the bottom left.
- Select the required organisation and role, then click Add and select Add New User.
- Complete the user setup screens using the details provided by your ICB, ensuring the Job Category is set to General Medical Practitioner and the Consulter field to Yes.
Configure the Dummy GP for a Pooled List
- Access Registration Workflow through the EMIS Web menu under Workflow, then Workflow Manager.
- In the navigation pane, select Registration. Ensure you have RBAC activity B1680 for this access.
- In the Organisation Options on the left, choose Trading Partners.
- Select the relevant trading partner in the upper pane. On the GP Codes tab, edit the dummy GP user, setting them as the Senior Partner.
Create the Pooled List
- Within Registration Workflow, click Actions and select Setup Pooled List.
- Enter the required information – trading partner, pooled list user, local code, GMC number, and index number as provided by your ICB.
- Click OK to finalise the setup.
