Accessing a preferred (nominated) pharmacy
Log on to EMIS Web with your smartcard, then open the Medication screen. Select Nominations on the ribbon to open the Manage ETP Nominations window. Click Find (in the relevant section) and search by pharmacy name or postcode. Double-click the correct provider, then select OK to set it. You can also do this from a patient’s Registration screen, ensuring any Personal Demographics Service (PDS) differences are resolved first.

Why it’s useful
By directing prescriptions to a nominated dispensary, practices can streamline the process, reduce the need to print and manually manage prescriptions, and improve patient convenience. A quick search in Medication shows the patient’s set pharmacy and allows you to update it whenever needed.
