To set a default recipient for specific Test Requests tasks in EMIS Web, follow these steps to configure your Workflow Manager:

Access the Workflow Manager Configuration Screen

1. Click the EMIS Web menu, and select Workflow Manager.

2. On the ribbon, click Config.

Configure the Default Recipient

1. In the Workflow Manager Configuration screen, navigate to the left-hand pane and click Default Send To under the User Options section.

2. Locate the Test Requests section in the Default Send To pane and select the relevant task type under the Task Type column (e.g., Awaiting Sample).

3. Click Edit at the top of the Default Send To pane.

4. On the User Defaults screen, choose one of the following options for default recipient:

  • Usual GP
  • Specified User/Team - Click the search icon, and select the desired recipient from the Find Teams or Users screen.

5. Click OK to confirm your selection. The default recipient is set for the selected task type and will be displayed next to that task type.

Setting a default recipient for test requests ensures efficient task management and reduces administrative burdens, allowing your practice to operate more smoothly.

Clear Default Recipient if Needed

If you wish to remove the default recipient, select the task type in the Task Type column within the Test Requests section of the Default Send To pane, and click Clear.
