Using Population Reporting
In EMIS Web, the easiest way to find patients with a current medication course is through Population Reporting. From the EMIS Web menu, open Reporting or Population Reporting and set up a new search. Specify search criteria such as “Medication status is current” or filter by particular drugs or classes of medication. Run the search, and EMIS Web will display a comprehensive list of matching patients.
Refining Your Search
You can refine your criteria further by adding prescription types, dosage parameters or review dates. This helps ensure you only retrieve patients who are actively receiving the medication. For time-saving or quality assurance tasks, this approach is especially effective.
