To resolve unacknowledged registrations in EMIS Web's Registration Workflow, follow these steps:
Accessing the Registration Workflow
Begin by navigating to the Workflow section in EMIS Web:
- Click on the EMIS Web menu.
- Hover over Workflow, select Workflow Manager, and then click Registration from the navigation pane.
Step 1: Confirm with the Trading Partner
Before taking action on unacknowledged registrations, confirm with your trading partner. It's recommended to allow at least two weeks for a response. If you haven't received an acknowledgement:
- Contact your trading partner to determine if they've received the patient registration and ask for the interchange number and the date it was sent.
Step 2: Approve or Re-send the Registration
If the trading partner confirms receipt or if two weeks have elapsed:
- Access GP Links - Outbox, then click on New Registrations.
- Select the required transaction.
- Click Approve if the trading partner has completed registration. Enter the NHS number if prompted and click OK.
- If the transaction remains unacknowledged, resend it by right-clicking the interchange and selecting Re-Send.

Step 3: Contact EMIS Support
