In EMIS Web, managing the Registration Workflow effectively can ensure all patient interchanges are processed accurately and efficiently. When dealing with interchanges listed as partially processed, follow these steps to reprocess or manually mark them as complete:
Access the Registration Workflow
From the EMIS Web menu, navigate to Workflow, select Workflow Manager, and then choose Registration. Here, you can manage all registration-related tasks.
Viewing and Reprocessing Interchanges
- In the GP Links section, locate the Failed Approval tasks. Examine these to determine the root cause of the partially processed interchange.
- Select DTS from the ribbon, and then choose View interchange history.
- Filter your searches by setting the Date to the period when the issue occurred and the Status to PartiallyProcessed.
- Right-click any entries marked as 'PartiallyProcessed' and choose Reprocess. This attempts to clear the interchange. If it remains, you can manually mark it as processed.
This procedure can significantly reduce administrative workload and ensure patient data is effectively managed. Rapid resolutions and accurate processing help in maintaining reliable communication with trading partners.
Manually Marking Interchanges as Processed
If reprocessing via the system interface does not clear the status, manually marking interchanges as complete can be achieved by right-clicking and selecting the appropriate processing option. Ensure the patient’s details are correctly entered and aligned with the trading partner’s records.
Managing these workflows promptly ensures that patient data is kept up-to-date, facilitating seamless patient care and reducing administrative overheads.
