In situations where a patient's registration status is not updating automatically in EMIS Web due to a freeze flag, you can remove this flag manually to ensure the registration process proceeds smoothly.
Steps to Remove a Freeze Flag
To remove a freeze flag in the Registration Workflow, please follow the instructions below:
- Access Registration Workflow in EMIS Web by navigating to the menu, pointing to Workflow, and selecting Workflow Manager. Then choose the Registration tab.
- Ensure you have the necessary security permissions to access the Actions option on the Registration Workflow ribbon. This includes permissions like Manage Demographic Duplicate Records.
- On the ribbon, click on Actions and select Manage Freeze Flagged Patients.
- In the list displayed, locate the patient whose freeze flag you wish to remove. Select the box beside their name and click Remove and Close.
- Note that patients who have a freeze flag set and an Unacknowledged acceptance in the New Registrations inbox are displayed in red text. If attempting to remove the flag for these patients, a warning message will display.
This process enables you to resolve issues with registration updates, ensuring that patient records are current and accurate.
