Handling unacknowledged DTS transactions in EMIS Web is crucial to maintaining efficient practice operations and ensuring data integrity. If transactions remain unacknowledged for over a week, you can take the following steps to address them:
Accessing Interchange History
Begin by accessing the Workflow Manager Lab Reports. Click the EMIS Web menu, navigate to Workflow, select Workflow Manager, and then click Lab Reports in the navigation pane. On the ribbon, click DTS and choose View Interchange History.
Locating Unacknowledged Transactions
In the DTS Interchange History screen, select Search by Number in the left-hand pane to locate the required transaction. Right-click the transaction to see its options.
Determining the Next Steps
- If the health authority or trading partner has received the interchange, right-click and click Mark as Acknowledged.
- If the interchange hasn’t been received, right-click and click Re-Send to resend the interchange.
Maintaining control over transaction acknowledgements can streamline practice workflows and enhance the accuracy of patient records.
Managing Errors
If you encounter errors, click the Messages tab in the lower right-hand pane to check the error message. Contact trading partners for corrective actions if needed. Depending on the error, you may need to reprocess or resend the interchange.
