Configuring Active Task Types in Workflow Manager
EMIS Web's Workflow Manager allows practices to tailor the management of tasks according to their needs by configuring active task types and their sequence. This functionality enhances task management by ensuring that the most relevant task types are readily available for use, improving task allocation and completion efficiency.
Accessing the Workflow Manager Configuration
To begin configuring task types, navigate to the Workflow Manager Configuration screen:
Select EMIS Web Menu → Workflow → Workflow Manager and then click Config on the ribbon.
Enabling and Arranging Task Types
Once in the configuration screen, proceed with the following steps:
- Within the Organisation Options, choose Configure User Tasks.
- Activate task types by selecting them from the Inactive Task Types pane and moving them to the Active Task Types pane.
- Conversely, deactivate unwanted task types by reversing the process.
- To reorder the active task types, use the up and down arrows to arrange according to priority.
- Once satisfied, click OK to save changes.
The active task types will now appear in the Task Type field ready for use when new tasks are set up, streamlining the task creation process.
"Configuring active task types effectively ensures that the most frequently utilised tasks are prominent, facilitating more immediate task allocation and prioritisation."
By configuring tasks efficiently, administrators can ensure that tasks are not only visible to the right team members but also prioritised for quick action. This organisational focus helps maintain a smooth workflow, minimising bottlenecks and increasing practice productivity.
