Being able to efficiently manage tasks is crucial for maintaining productivity and minimizing system slow-downs in EMIS Web. By using the batch processing feature, users can complete or archive multiple tasks at once.
Batch Completing Tasks
To batch complete tasks in your To-Do List, follow these steps:
- Access Tasks by navigating through Workflow > Workflow Manager > Tasks.
- On the Tasks ribbon, click Batch Processing and choose Batch Complete or Batch Complete and Archive.
- In the Batch Complete User Tasks screen, set the date criteria by selecting On or After and choosing the necessary dates for both the start and end.
- Click OK to automatically complete these tasks based on the criteria.
Note: Ensure you have selected the correct Workflow View before proceeding with batch processing to guarantee that you're completing the appropriate tasks.
Considerations for Batch Processing
While batch processing can significantly speed up task management, here are some important considerations:
- Role and Accessibility: Tasks that require specific permissions will not be viewable by all users; ensure role configuration allows for necessary task management.
- System Performance: Completing tasks regularly prevents accumulation that might hinder system performance. Active tasks have been noted to cause system slowness otherwise.
- Accuracy: Double-check the selected task range to prevent unintended completion of tasks. This is especially important when sharing views or deputizing for other users.
"Batch processing transforms administrative efficiency by allowing multiple tasks to be completed concurrently, optimising time management across your organisation."
