Overview
GP Connect Update Record allows information from community pharmacy consultations to flow directly into a patient’s GP record in EMIS Web. After reviewing the provisional consultation in Workflow Manager, the record is fully filed. If you need to switch this functionality on or off, follow these steps.
How to Activate or Deactivate
- Access Organisation Configuration from the EMIS Web menu.
- Select Edit Organisation and scroll down to the option Accept GP Connect Update Record via MESH.
- Choose Yes (to enable) or No (to disable).
- Click OK to save.
- Restart EMIS Web when prompted to complete the process.
Enabling GP Connect Update Record can reduce the manual effort required to file pharmacy consultations, saving time for busy administrators.
When you deactivate, pharmacy messages are rejected and returned to the sending pharmacy system. If reactivated, incoming messages will resume being filed automatically, providing more complete patient records.
