Deduction requests in Registration Workflow are designed to manage the removal of patients from your organisation list in EMIS Web. These are necessary when a patient should be removed due to specific reasons:
- Patient death
- Patient embarkation (leaving the country)
- Patient leaving the area
To utilise deduction requests effectively, access the Registration Workflow through the EMIS Web menu. Here’s how you can manage deduction requests:
Access Deduction Requests
Navigate to the GP Links - Outbox section within the Workflow Manager and select Deduction Requests. The deduction request transactions will appear, allowing you to process them accordingly.
Processing Deduction Requests
1. Before proceeding with a deduction request, ensure the deduction reason aligns with one of the specified categories: death, embarkation, or area departure.
2. If a deduction request is submitted erroneously and is still marked as Ready to Send, you can delete it. Once the status has changed to sent, the request cannot be retracted.
