The Search View and Search Text functionalities in EMIS Web's Care Record streamline the process of locating specific pieces of information, whether they are coded or uncoded text entries. Here's how you can effectively utilise these tools for comprehensive patient record searching.
Using Search View or Search Text
These functions enable you to search for words and phrases across a patient’s Care Record entries, excluding the Summary and Diary screens.
- Navigate to the EMIS Web menu and select Care Record.
- Select the appropriate Care Record module you wish to search within.
- Once on your chosen screen, locate the ribbon and click Search View or Search Text.
- A search box will appear underneath the patient précis. Enter any part or full words, clinical terms, or phrases you seek.
Results start populating as you type, giving you prompt access to relevant information, speeding up the retrieval of pertinent data.
"The Search View functions, essential for efficiency, allow instant lookups in large and complex patient records, thus saving time for healthcare providers."
If a search returns more entries than manageable, the use of filters can refine these further, focusing on specifics such as dates or specific types of clinical entries. Remember, for a clutter-free search result, removing filters is possible by clicking the remove icon on the banner bar.
