To check the current version of the Medical Knowledge Base (MKB) in EMIS Web, follow these steps:

Accessing the Medical Knowledge Base Version

Step 1: Open the EMIS Web menu.

Step 2: Navigate to Care Record and select Care History. If you have not selected a patient, you will be prompted to use Patient Find to choose one. Once selected, the Care History screen is displayed.

Step 3: On the ribbon, click Add and select Code. The Release version of the MKB will be displayed at the top of the code browser.

This functionality saves practice administrators and clinicians valuable time by offering immediate access to the most up-to-date clinical information, eliminating the need to cross-reference external sources manually.

Keeping the MKB up-to-date is critical as it ensures access to the latest prescribable drugs, clinical codes, and decision support data. This comprehensive resource supports informed prescribing decisions and maintains consistent patient safety standards.
